On April 3rd senior standout Suzanna Yoder signed to continue her basketball career with Goshen College (Goshen, IN). Yoder is the first commit to sign for the class of 2023 under head coach Stephanie Miller. “Suzanna is a fantastic student, athlete, and well-rounded person that we look forward to adding on campus here at Goshen College,” Miller said. “I couldn’t be more excited to see her join us this fall.”

Yoder finished her senior season as the second leading scorer in the State of Iowa averaging 27.5PPG which earned her All-State honors, All-District, All-Region, First Team All-Conference and Co-Conference Player of the Year. Yoder was also recognized for Academic All-State as well as Academic All-Conference.

“I couldn’t be more proud of Suzanna and all she’s accomplished over the course of her career,” IMS head coach Kari Heusinkveld said. “She’s a great example of where hard work and dedication can get you. When you look at the numbers for her year over year, they speak for themselves. She improved in every category across the board and even improved her numbers from a stellar junior season last year. I’m excited to see what she does on the court at the next level, but I’m even more excited to see the overall impact she has on campus and where life will take her after college. I have no doubt that she will excel in all areas.”

Yoder finishes her career with 1,581 points, good for second place overall in IMS girls’ basketball history and holds records for most points in a season, most points in a game, scoring average in a season, three-point goals in a career and three-point goals in a season. She etched her name into eight additional categories in the record books.

Yoder was invited to compete in both the Senior Conference All-Star game on March 16th at Burlington Notre Dame and the IGCA Senior All-Star game on April 7th held at Kirkwood Community College.
