Every year a week is set aside for FFA chapters to celebrate National FFA Week. Our FFA chapter set up some fun activities for us to do this week to increase our awareness about how much agriculture is a part of our everyday lives. Monday we had Jacob Boller, our FFA chaplain, speak in chapel and FFA president, Blake Bontrager, led an agriculture Kahoot. Tuesday at lunch the FFA provided popsicle sticks and glue for students to make barns. Thursday will be ice cream bars with agriculture facts at lunch and a game of “whose tractor is it?” Friday we have ag Olympics at lunch.

FFA also went to our area subdistrict contest.  Leah Bontrager is advancing to district competition and Blake Bontrager is an alternate. Full results are listed below:

Leah (creed speaking) Gold – Advances to Districts
Blake (ag sales) Silver – Alternate
Jacob (radio broadcast) Silver – Does not advance
Cole (public speaking) Bronze – Does not advance
Julia, Kennedy, Katelyn (chapter program) Bronze – Does not advance
