3rd – 5th Grade Baking Bonanza
CAMP DESCRIPTION:
Get ready for a delicious baking adventure! This 3-day camp is designed for young chefs eager to learn the sweet art of baking. Each day is packed with hands-on activities that will have kids creating, decorating, and, of course, tasting their masterpieces!
Day 1: We’ll start with the basics! Kids will learn essential kitchen tools and skills, like how to measure ingredients properly and use the right tools for the job. Then, it’s time to bake cookies and muffins, where they’ll practice their new skills and create some tasty treats!
Day 2: Things get even sweeter as we dive into cinnamon rolls and mini cheesecakes. Kids will learn how to make dough rise perfectly, fill and bake a cheesecake crust, and explore fun flavor combinations.
Day 3: The grand finale is all about cake decorating! Kids will bring their baking creations together and learn how to design and decorate a beautiful cake, using fun techniques like piping, frosting, and adding toppings.
By the end of camp, your child will have a solid foundation in baking and decorating, plus a collection of delicious treats to share! Let’s bake up some fun!
6th – 8th Grade: Culinary Master Class
CAMP DESCRIPTION:
This camp is for aspiring young chefs ready to take their cooking skills to the next level! Over three action-packed days, kids will explore various cooking techniques, and knife skills, and create delicious dishes from scratch. Each day, they’ll focus on different types of meals, using fresh ingredients and learning essential culinary skills.
Day 1: It’s all about pasta! Kids will dive into making homemade pasta from scratch, learning the fundamentals of mixing, kneading, and shaping dough. After that, they’ll prepare a delicious pasta dish from start to finish. In addition to cooking, they’ll also learn basic knife skills and various cooking methods to help them in the kitchen.
Day 2: The focus will be preparing poultry dishes and learning about starches. Kids will practice cooking techniques for poultry and discover how to compliment their meals with delicious, hearty starches.
Day 3: The final day is all about meat and vegetables. Kids will learn how to prepare and cook meat, while also exploring creative ways to enhance vegetables with different cooking methods like roasting, sautéing, and grilling.
By the end of this culinary adventure, kids will have the skills to cook a variety of meals confidently and safely, impressing friends and family with their new culinary creations. Get ready to cook up some fun!
Due to the nature of the class, food allergies should be specified ahead of time to make sure all students can enjoy the class to its full extent.
Camp Director, Joanna Gonzales is a graduate of the University of Caloocan City in the Philippines. She majored in Secondary Education in Technology and Livelihood Education. Before her move here Joanna shared her passion for food in both private and public schools in the Philippines, teaching various food classes. Her joy lies in baking and cooking with kids, creating delightful and educational culinary experiences.

ELIGIBILITY: Camp for students entering 3rd – 5th grade is limited to 16 students.
Camp for students entering 6th – 8th grade is limited to 12 students.
COST: $50.00 per child (includes food & supplies)
