Tuition, ESA & Financial Aid

Education Within Reach

As a parent, you understand how important it is for your child to receive a faith-based education rooted in Jesus Christ that prepares them for college, career, and beyond. You want them to attend a school where they will be challenged academically, as well as supported socially and emotionally.

A private school can offer your child rigorous academics and a wealth of enrichment opportunities for learning, serving, and leading. But you might wonder how enrolling at a private Christian school will affect your family’s budget, or perhaps you’re not even sure if you can afford it.

If you want your student to attend Hillcrest, there will be a way to make it happen.

Making a Hillcrest Academy Education Accessible

Education Savings Account

In the State of Iowa, education funding is available for K-12 students who choose to attend private schools. Parents who choose to enroll their eligible children in an accredited nonpublic school will receive an amount equal to the per pupil funding allocated to public school districts for the same budget school year. Funds will be deposited into an Education Savings Account (ESA) to be used for tuition, fees, and other qualified education expenses as specified in the legislation. Parents are responsible for managing the student’s funds which may be used to cover tuition, fees and other qualified education expenses.

Who is eligible for the 2025-26 school year?
  • All students are eligible for the 2025-26 school year if they complete the ESA application.
How do I apply?
  • The application process will open on April 16 and close at noon on June 30 for the 2025-26 school year.
  • Applications are valid for one year; a family must apply annually to remain eligible for the program.

How much will my child receive?

  • We do not know the amount for the 2025-26 school year at this time. The 2024-25 rate is $7826.

By clicking the button below, you can start your application today! Documents are required after submitting your application, and there is a $35 application fee. A document with instructions is available in English and Spanish.
