Hillcrest Beats Huskies in Four

The Hillcrest Academy Raven volleyball team opened the Southeast Iowa Superconference season Thursday with a win over Highland in four sets. The Ravens were winners at Hillcrest Union by scores of 25-15, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-20. Hillcrest stat-leaders included Claire Withrow with 18 assists, Stavia Miller with 15 digs, Niva Helmuth with 10 kills and five blocks and Brynna Boshart with six aces. For Highland, leaders included Ava Sexton with 14 assists and 12 digs, Katelyn Thomann with seven kills, Adisyn Prottsman with five aces, and Kamryn Fink with a block. The win kept Hillcrest unbeaten at 5-0 as Highland dropped to 2-5.
