Ravens Take on Sigourney in Achieve Challenge Scrimmages

The Hillcrest Ravens girls’ and boys’ basketball teams are gearing up for some exciting matchups against Sigourney High School. These games will serve as scrimmages as part of the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IAHSAA) Achieve Challenge.

The Achieve Challenge is a fantastic statewide initiative that encourages basketball programs across Iowa to embrace community service. It provides a platform for student-athletes to develop important life skills like teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility.

These games will undoubtedly be a great opportunity for the Ravens to showcase their talents and prepare for the upcoming season. It’ll also be a chance for the Hillcrest community to come together and cheer on our local teams.

GIRLS – Saturday, November 16 vs Sigourney, JV at 1:30 and Varsity to follow around 3:00 PM

BOYS – Saturday, November 23 vs Sigourney, JV at 3:00 and Varsity to follow around 4:30 PM

Admission for both dates is one non-perishable food item plus $3. Food will be donated to the Kalona Food Pantry.
