Ravens Cross Country Continues to Set Personal Best Times

Ravens Cross Country Continues to Set Personal Best Times

Hot weather forced a schedule and venue change for the Hillcrest Harriers this week.  Tuesday’s temperatures in the mid-90s caused a cancelation of the Center Point-Urbana meet.  The Burlington meet Thursday was an attractive alternative.  The Raven runners responded well to temperatures in the mid-60s under clear skies on a flat course.  Micah Gerber led the boys placing sixteenth in 19:33.  Jesse Blossom was the next Raven finisher placing twenty-sixth in 21:00.  This is his new personal best.  Jeremiah Danker made the biggest improvement taking 4:50 off his previous personal best time.  Danker placed thirty-ninth in 25:37.   Junior Solomon Zaugg of Mediapolis won the race in 16:46.  Davenport Central won the team title.
